Finale

Tomorrow will be my last day at work.
Only a few will understand how liberating that moment will be...

In the Midst of Packing

My husband and I have resorted to Kraft Spongebob Squarepants Mac n Cheese coupled with Pomme de Glace dessert wine from Montreal.

Yum.

You have just summarized the last 9 months of my job and Brad's job. If it weren't so true, it would be funny. *Sigh* I'd like to go into detail, but in this age of Google, I'm traceable.

Brad has applied to LCC for the Spring semester and we have chosen to relocate as soon as possible so I can job hunt. We will be leaving NH the beginning of October and living in student housing until we can find something more permanent.

I'm exhausted, frustrated, excited, and optimistic. We hope to leave behind some demons and stretch forward in new adventures. We will most certainly miss our friends and family. Unless they disown us. Then we won't even remember their names.

Falange Fright

I have joined the ranks of injured Belleys today.

This morning, I was quietly getting ready for my day, as to not awaken the sleeping Canadians in the next room. With my eye on the weather forecast, I performed a common task of many years - folding up the ironing board. With a squeeze of the lever, the legs slid upward, and then sheer pain coursed through me from fingertip to toe. I frantically searched for the release lever, but it was too late. My right ring finger was wedged and crushed into the board's lock position. Against all that is natural, I kept my mouth completely silent as the tears flowed and I freed my finger from its death grip. Blood poured from a crack in the center of my nail bed. The throbbing continues to this very moment.

I use this stupid finger more than I realized.

Preggy dude?

I'm going to fight the urge to put a disturbing photo of a pregnant man on my blog. Just this week, I realized that pregnant mother photos kind of bother me... the man thing just sends my gag reflex into full force.

The world is in awe over the likes of this new story out of Oregon. But is it just me or are we really only talking about a woman with a serious identity crisis who has spent thousands of dollars for reconstructive surgery and an ungodly amount of horomones? After all, he is technically still a she. And she is pregnant.

No phenomenon there.

It must be Thursday

I thought I had something brilliant to blog about...
And then work happened.

Now I can't remember anything.
