AH! To death with illness! Yes, I have contracted yet another form of the vicious cold and flu. However, I am feeling tons better and I am back on track here in Lincoln. So, what's going on with this snow? Only 40 days until my birthday and I'm praying for at least 50 degree weather! :)

Now on a more positive note...Tonight a group of us went out to a small church in the middle of nowhere and put on a skit/lesson for children. It was great! I was "Jimmy" (they actually called me Lindy) in the drama. I have always loved acting and I know that is something that I should've been plugged into here at LCC, but I intend on turning that around. I think I'll be more gutsy and try it more often. The kids were actually weird. The town was weird. The adults were weird. They had a zesty look in their eyes. Take that to mean what you want...but our group was weirded out. Regardless, I think God used us in an amazing way. A couple of the out-of-control boys came up to me afterwards and told me I was so funny and asked when we would be back. That touched me in many ways. One reason, because I love crazy little boys and then to be complimented by them just sent me over the top!! :) Tammy and I had a good talk on the way back. Good times...sad times...growing times...
Have you ever been so slammed by disappointment that it seems you've been wronged? Maybe that pit in your stomach is similar to the one in mine when you realize that something you've believed in was a lie. Maybe you've lost love, confidence, or trust. Right now I wonder what is going on in the human mind. Sure, I've heard it dozens of times in dozens of classes and church events...sin nature. We all have it. We end up hurting others with it. We end up destroying ourselves by it. I sit here now and wonder what kind of damage I've left with my careless choices and wandering faithfulness. Perhaps this is something we should all think about more often.

Glorious. There is no other way to properly describe the weekend I just spent in Kentucky with some of my most favorite people ever. Jeff, Tiffany, Ben Brodfuehrer and I road tripped to the Land of Perpetual Bliss, hung out with Shawn n Jayla Friday night in Lexington, I stayed with Ben's fam in Louisville on Saturday and Sunday, and we all met up on Sunday at Okalona Christian Church where Jeff was interviewing. It was a weekend well-spent and I will forever be grateful for the sweet spirits that lace that part of my life. I'm exhausted, so it is now that I shall hit my books and then hit the sack. Ciao.
